Hagerty puts the value at $36K in fair condition, $73K in good condition and $112K in excellent condition. That’s out of my price range by a factor of 10.

Low grille 3.5, funny footnote about these. T hese cars barely depreciated before appreciating , as due to inflation, exchange rate issues, and having kind of “classic” status from new, factors combined and they retained value. I have some KBB/NADA guides from 1976, this still booked at ~ 75 % of its original MSRP (and I suspect some dealers asked more) . By the 80s they exceeded MSRP, and the cabrios and late run SLs fared even better. We’ll likely never see that again.
